One of the most challenging phrases I encountered this past week in my studies was that “Jesus had the habit of prayer.”
There isn’t much that one can (or should) add to this. It is sufficient in its potency.
If Christians are to follow Christ and be sanctified to the end of Christlikeness, then this is a quick test as to how we’re doing.
Do we have the habit of prayer?
If it’s not our habit, the answers to why it isn’t may prove revealing. And humbling.
That process has been convicting to me this week.
